We have made many planning applications on behalf of our clients.
ExCAL has secured planning permission for
various aspects of the following waste management facilities:
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council - Baglan Energy
Park
ExCAL were retained by NPTCBC to undertake
a comprehensive study for a 200 acre development site near Port
Talbot in South Wales. The site was formerly occupied by a steelworks,
a galvanising facility and other potentially contaminative uses.
Bridgend County Borough Council, St. John's Washery, Maesteg
ExCAL were commissioned to undertake a study
of the St. John's Washery site, Maesteg. The area has been subjected
to intensive historical industrial use including an iron works,
intensive mining for coal, over 90 coke ovens, two landfill sites
and large colliery tips.
LAS Waste Limited, Lampeter
A working plan was developed for the operation of a waste transfer
station at Tregaron Road, Lampeter and a Waste Management Licence
was obtained. Planning permission was obtained for further buildings
on the site.
Davies Bros (Waste) Limited, Bridgend
The working plan for the Tythegston Landfill Site was prepared by
ExCAL on behalf of Davies Bros and a waste
management licence was obtained. We are currently assisting Davies
Bros with the surrender of the licence following completion of the
landfill. We successfully gained planning permission for a Waste
to Energy Facility on the site which converts municipal waste to
a mixture of gases which are used to generate electricity. Planning
permission was obtained for new buildings and for extensions to
new buildings on the site.
Gerald Davies Limited, Kenfig Industrial Estate, Margam
Excal assisted Gerald Davies Ltd. to surrender a waste management
licence for an inert landfill site. We are currently handling a
planning application for industrial units on the landfill site.
Planning permission was also obtained for the following projects:
- Young Bros, Tiers Cross - Golf course development.
- Castell Howell Foods, Carmarthen - New building.
- Freshwater Bay, Pembrokeshire - Holiday complex.
- Springwater Lakes, Camarthenshire - Leisure
development.
- S & J Enterprise, Ammanford - Forklift
