Waste To Energy
ExCAL has helped to develop a functional
prototype unit actively testing the elimination of organics from
contaminated soil. The advantages of this are clear in that it will
reduce or eliminate contaminated soil going to landfill. It will
also do away with the transportation costs as the pyrolysis unit
is mobile.
The same unit is addressing the mechanisms of creating a robust
waste to energy unit that will have a significant impact upon waste management
practice in the UK.
| ExCAL has direct links
with a rotary autoclave process which is capable of treating
black bag municipal waste and sorting the recyclable constituents,
sterilising it, and producing a waste product with value for
a number of uses such as composting, fuel blocks and constructional
fibre board mixtures. |
